Two Homes documents the parallels of two, separate households of the artistís child. Using comparative diptychs of seemingly mundane routines, the work gives candid insight into this alternative family. The images illustrate subtle connotations of gender in each household, resulting in an honest and sometimes humorous view of gender relations in a separated domestic partnership. Exhibited in a corner, each wall of work can be compared or looked at individually, illustrating the fact that however similar the childís experiences in each house, they are still separate homes. www.emergillespie.com
